Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal! Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by a representative from Chingu Treks and Tours, who will transfer you to your hotel. After checking in, you can relax and unwind from your journey. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant where you will be introduced to the flavors of Nepali cuisine. The rest of the night is free for you to rest and prepare for your exciting tour in Nepal.
After breakfast, you will begin your full-day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu, exploring its UNESCO World Heritage Sites. First, visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historical palace complex that was once the royal palace and is now a vibrant hub of culture, with impressive temples, shrines, and courtyards. Next, head to Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, where you will witness sacred rituals and cremation ceremonies on the banks of the Bagmati River. Then, visit Swayambhunath Stupa (also known as the Monkey Temple), a hilltop stupa offering panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley and home to a mix of Buddhist and Hindu shrines. Lastly, visit Bauddhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in Nepal, which attracts both pilgrims and tourists with its spiritual ambiance and colorful prayer flags. Return to your hotel in the evening for rest.
Today, you will visit two fascinating ancient cities: Patan and Bhaktapur, both renowned for their preserved medieval architecture and rich cultural heritage. Start your tour with a visit to Patan Durbar Square, which is home to stunning temples, courtyards, and the ancient palace. You’ll also explore the Golden Temple and the Patan Museum to learn about the art and history of the region. Next, head to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a charming city famous for its medieval Newar architecture, and explore landmarks like Vatsala Temple, 55-Window Palace, and Nyatapola Temple. In the late afternoon, drive to Nagarkot, a hill station offering spectacular views of the Himalayas. Depending on the weather, you will either enjoy a sunrise or sunset over the snow-capped peaks, which will be an unforgettable experience. Overnight stay at a hotel in Nagarkot.
After an early breakfast and an optional sunrise view, you will undertake on a scenic drive to Chitwan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the gateway to Chitwan National Park, one of Nepal's premier wildlife destinations. The drive will take you through lush landscapes, passing rivers, villages, and forests. Upon arrival in Sauraha (the main gateway to Chitwan National Park), you will check in at your resort or lodge, where you will enjoy a peaceful afternoon surrounded by nature. After dinner, you can enjoy a cultural program showcasing traditional Tharu dances, which are part of the local ethnic culture of the region.
Today, you will explore Chitwan National Park, a famous haven for wildlife enthusiasts. After breakfast, you will embark on a jeep safari or a canoe ride along the Rapti River, where you will have the opportunity to spot exotic wildlife, including rhinos, tigers, crocodiles, deer, and a variety of bird species. You will also take a guided jungle walk with an experienced naturalist, learning about the flora and fauna of the region. In the afternoon, you may visit the Elephant Breeding Center, where you can observe the conservation efforts for elephants and their calves. The evening is free for you to relax, enjoy the natural surroundings, or participate in another cultural performance.
After breakfast, you will begin your drive back to Kathmandu. The scenic journey takes you back through the countryside, offering views of villages, rivers, and farmland. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, you may choose to relax or do some last-minute shopping in the bustling markets of Thamel, a popular area in Kathmandu. If time permits, you can visit some of the remaining attractions in the city. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant to celebrate the end of your tour.
On your final day, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight.
